The Uganda Bettors Association, Eastern Uganda Chapter have contributed Shs500,000 to the Bukedea man who sold his only source of income to gamble.
Led by Ag. Chairperson, Okurut George, the team said that they couldn’t sit back and watch their colleague die of depression since it was his first time to bet and also it was not his choice but rather, a friend duped him into it.
Mr. Okurut says that they have registered Isaac as a member just in case he wants to gamble, he will seek advice from the ‘clan elders’ and bet responsibly.
He added Olokojo will have a 1 month access to their VIP picks for free in order to try and recover from this downfall.

Isaac Oloojo, 28 says that this is going to be a lifetime lesson to him but if he wants to bet, he will ask the association members to give him the right teams and also the amount to play but not exceeding 50,000/-.
“This is indeed a sad moment for me in my life. I have been depressed because we are a few weeks away from Christmas and my family was going to languish during this season. I am happy that we still have kind people in the world even when they have seen your ‘silly mistake’. This money is going to help me a lot because am now thinking of what simple business I can start in order to multiply this money. I am as well appealing to any other Samaritan to help me with anything possible for I will not repeat that act again. It was the work of the devil,” Olokojo said while receiving the money from Our Reporter.
He added that he is still scared of betting despite the association giving him a free access to all their VIP picks for a month.
