‘Village boy’ Amuriat dully nominated, to launch his manifesto in Soroti
Forum for Democratic Change Party President Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi has been dully nominated to contest for the country’s top seat in the 2021 general elections.
Earlier, Amuriat was arrested as he tried to access his office in Najjanankumbi, he was whisked and dumped to Kyambogo nomination ground on barefoot.
“I came here to be nominated as a prisoner without shoes, not that i wanted. We have been telling Ugandans that Mr. Museveni runs a fully blown dictatorship. Despite what happens to us as the FDC, we will never give up,” he said.
He also announced that he will launch his manifesto in the Eastern district of Soroti in one week’s time.
Amuriat now becomes a sixth president to be nomaitad after National Unity Platform – NUP’s Bobi Wine, Gen. Mugisha Muntu Gregory of the Alliance for National Transformation – ANT, NRM’s Yoweri Museveni and Henry Tumukunde who came as an independent candidate & Mayambala Willy
