Joshua Cheptegei has smashed the men’s 5000m in 12:35.36, breaking Kenenisa Bekele’s 12:37.35 from 2004!
President Museveni was quick to congratulate Cheptegei in his tweet saying that Cheptegei has brought honour, pride and joy to the country.
