Independent Presidential candidate, John Katumba has suspended his campaigns calling the security forces to stop brutality.
Katumba, who was scheduled to campaign in Bukedea district on Thursday said that he won’t campaign again until fellow presidential aspirants Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine and FDC’s Amuriat Patrick Oboi are released from detention.
Speaking to journalists in Bukedea, Katumba urged Ugandans to stop violence and focus on uprooting the dictator through the ballot.

Katumba now becomes a third presidential candidate to suspend campaigns after Gen. Henry Tumukunde and Gen. Mugisha Muntu announced the same on Wednesday shortly after the arrest of Kyagulanyi and Amuriat.
Kyagulanyi was arrested in Luuka district for flouting Covid-19 guidelines which require only 200 people at a campaign venue. He is currently in custody at Nalufenya police station in Jinja City.
While FDC’s Amuriat is currently held at Gulu Central Police Station in Gulu City.
