A man in Miroi village, Kolir subcounty in Bukedea district has committed suicide after being dumped by his wife.
According to the residents, the deceased was angry that his wife had left him and efforts to reconcile with her had hit a snag.
Its alleged that the wife had already moved on with another man. A week later, he took his own life by drug overdose.
“But it could be a case of mental illness. We appeal to people who are disturbed in any way to seek assistance from trusted family members and spiritual leaders instead of taking their own lives,” one resident said.
