Latest news reaching our editorial confirm that Veteran Radio host Marcus Kwikiriza of Nxt Radio’s Morning Zoo has announced his resignation from the Naguru based radio station.

Marcus, whose radio career reverts back in 1998 when he started out behind the mic at Sanyu FM is set to have his last radio show on Friday, February 19.

“It is true, I am leaving the Morning Zoo, Tomorrow, I will have my last show,” Kwikiriza said.

The development comes at a time when this website initially reported that Marcus is set to replace Robert Kabushega as Vision Group CEO.

Reliable sources from the Industrial Area based media house confirm that Marcus was among shortlisted candidates for the big job.

Kwikiriza who has worked in radio for over 20 years will be replacing Robert Kabushenga who recently announced that he would be taking an early retirement.

He however hasn’t divulged when he will be leaving his job as Nxt Radio’s General Manager or co-host of Another Round, a life style TV show.

Kwikiriza started his Radio career from Sanyu FM in 1998 where he hosted their Friday Night and Saturday night shows and later moved to Radio One where he hosted the midmorning show.

He has since worked for several radio stations in Kenya, Rwanda and a number of others in Uganda.

Also, as part of his career in media, he hosted a basketball show on Zuku TV, hosted the Stanbic Schools Championship on NTV and his current show, Another Round.

Besides media, Kwikiriza is involved in other business like events management with Blackstar Events and is also a brand ambassador for Johnie Walker Reserve.
