MultiChoice Uganda Unveils ‘Kampala Crème’ Show Ft. Zahara Totto, Baby Gloria

Kampala’s A-Class most awaited reality TV show has officially been unveiled on Ugandan screens. The show dubbed ‘Kampala Crème, ’ features Kampala’s popular socialite, Media Personality and DJ Zahara Totto, singer Baby Gloria real name Gloria Gloria Mulungi Senyonjo, Zahara Totto, Mami Deb real name Deborah Nantongo and Etania.

Unveiled at Mezo Noir restaurant in Kololo, the launch saw Kampala’s top beauties and celebrities, call it crème de la crème, gather to witness the much anticipated event opener of the year and yes it went on well, I think beyond expectation!

Kampala Crème is a reality show that focuses on self-made influencers and celebrities who have reached elite status, dominating the realms of fashion, entrepreneurship, and lifestyle.

Speaking at the launch, Rinaldi Jamugisa Public Relations and Communications Officer at MultiChoice Uganda cited the need for Ugandans to embrace GOtv and DStv Stream online, which can be downloaded via the Appstore to catch the show live from anywhere if they can’t watch the show on their TVs.

The show will be airing every Sunday on Pearl Magic Prime and Pearl Magic starting at 8:00 PM and on DStv Channel 148 and GOtv Channel 303.

Brian Mulondo, Head of Local Content at MultiChoice Uganda applauded the Kampala Crème show all the way from the cast to producers for coming up with such an elegant, powerful yet a reality show.

Mulondo also revealed that Kampala Crème is a MultiChoice Commissioned show apart from the extra designer wear that the girls opt for among others.

Mami Deb, it was just a matter of time, this show was supposed to be on last June, It’s a very good opportunity, though we spent a real bunch of cash to come up with this show but I know it’s going to be a really good one. Asked about how she is going to garner fans and command a huge fan base but she said to her it’s not about the fans but is all about her customers or clients.

To defend her position when she asks Mami Deb the reason as to why she doesn’t have budget for her event where she is to star in, Gloria highlighted the need for Ugandans to make good use of every opportunity that comes to them and earn from it. She asked Ugandans to embrace the culture of supporting and appreciating their own shows and make the country proud.

Asked as to what made her take part in the Kampala Crème show, Gloria revealed, “We have been thinking about doing a reality show as a family and the opportunity just presented itself for me to be part of the Kampala Crème show and I am happy to be a part of it.”

In her view, Zahara Totto, thinks that Ugandans don’t know the real Zahara but the stubborn one who posts crazy things on social media. “But hey look, I am a mother, I am a media person, I am an avatar among others that’s the reason I am on the show and just to let you know, this show is soo real, if you don’t have money, never force it, that’s what the show is all about, real life.”

She would later on go ahead stressing that, “I am single right now, I am focusing on my books for now and I am not searching either.”

Etania on the other hand cited the fact that, “a lot of people don’t know my real life because all they know is that I am an energetic person on TV and Radio. She disclosed that her recently purchased car is from her hard earned money and is the product of her sweat and nothing like a man bought it for her.

“My car is from the money I got from dancing on TV, shouting and all that, no man gave me any penny for my car,” she said.

While speaking to our reporter, one of the guests(Name withheld),  applauded MCU for the great job well done in enhancing local content hence not only fostering development in the movie industry in Uganda but also creating jobs for the filmmakers among others. She further called upon Ugandans to make it a point to hook onto GOtv and DStv for the top exciting entertainment shows and hottest sports action, every day, anytime!

According to Kampala Crème content directors Judithiana Namazzi and her husband Ndugwa Joel, “the show is real, personal, deep and unscripted.

“We are not scripting this show but just putting cameras to focus on these girls who are leaving their life.”
